Best Seasons for a Nebraska Wedding

The honest tradeoffs of spring, summer, and fall in eastern Nebraska. Light, weather, pricing, and what to expect.

Late spring (May–early June)

Often the most reliable weather window in eastern Nebraska. Green grounds, longer light. Books out earliest.

Summer (mid June–August)

Reliably warm evenings. Mid-afternoon ceremonies can be hot. Most couples land on 5–6pm. Best for couples who want long golden-hour photos.

Fall (September–mid October)

Crisper air, warm light, and slightly more weather variability. Excellent for photography. The most-requested season.

Shoulder dates

Late April, late October, and select winter dates can offer better value with a slightly higher weather risk.
